Memorabilia of CFPA


2003
 

From December 28th to 30th, the third National Member Congress of CFPA was held in Zhongshan University in Guangzhou. There are 185 representatives from 29 provinces around the country attended the meeting.
The new leading group including the president, vice presidents and members of council were selected on the congress.
Then the representatives celebrated the 10th anniversity of CFPA in Guangdong Art Museum on December 30th.
Especially, Ms. Alice de Jenlis and Mr. Andre Lieber, the officials from UNESCO headquarters came to celebrate with CFPA's members.
At last, CPFA signed the cooperation contracts with the Zhongshan University and FOTOE.com for establishing a photo library of folk-culture, as well with the Guangdong Art Museum for the Humanity Photo Awards2004.


2002
 

In March, the meeting of directors of branches was held in Zhejiang Province.
In April, the Fellowship Members team of CFPA visited and photographed the Black Zhuang Nationality in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
At the end of October, the Awards Ceremony and Exhibition of winning photos of HPA2002 were held in Beijing.
In December, the President Shen Che attended the 7th National Congress of Literature & Art Circle as a representative to photography.


2001
  Co-sponsored the "Sister Festival of Miao Nationality" in Guizhou Province, the Lotus Festival in Guangdong Province.

2000
  In May, the winning photos of HPA1998 exhibited in the National Art Museum as a part of the "Meet in Beijing" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of PRC.
In October, the Awards Ceremony and Exhibition of winning photos of HPA2000 were held in Beijing.
Co-sponsored the International Lion Dance Competition in Guangdong Province, the Finishing Opening Festival in Zhejiang Province, the Seminar of Liang & Zhu (a folktale almost same with the Juliet & Romeo) in Zhejiang Province.

1999
  Held the annual meeting in Le'an Town, Jiangxi Province in July.
In August, the Deputy General-Director of UNESCO authorized the HPA contest to use the logo of UNESCO.
In September, entered the "Chinese Cultural Week" in Paris with the photos about Chinese minorities.
In October, organized a photographic contest with the subject of the elder people as a program of "International Year for the Aged People" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of PRC.
In December, the International Year for the Culture of Peace sponsored by UN & UNESCO authorized the HPA contest to use its logo.

1998
  The Deputy General-Director of UNESCO visited the office of CFPA in July and wrote "You keep the memory of China... Congratulations! You belong to UNESCO...".
The second National Members Congress was held in December and some articles the institution were modified. Such as the system of Life Member and Four Distinctions replaced the mode of year member.
In December, the Awards Ceremony and Exhibition of winning photos of HPA1998 were held in Beijing.

1997
  Held the annual meeting in Tianjin city.
Prepared the first international photographic contest, Humanity Photo Awards.
The President visited the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris and introduced the HPA contest to its officers.
In August, the representatives of CFPA visited some photographic organizations, universities in America.
In November, set the first "Members' Home" which means a hotel or restaurant with discounted price to the members of CFPA.
At the invitation of the Club of Foreigners in Beijing, the president delivered a slide show on the folk custom of Chinese minorities in December.

1996
  Held the annual meeting especially the members' training and development of CFPA discussed in Nanhai city, Guangdong Province.

1995
  Held a seminar with the subject of theory and practice of the folk-cultural photography.

1994
  CFPA started the editing work for the books including the Chinese geography, Chinese nationalities, folklore study, knowledges on folk-cultural photography and etc.
Held the first National Members Congress in Beijing and approved the constitution of CFPA at the end of 1994.

December 30th,1993
  The China Folklore Photographic Association(CFPA) was established in Beijing.
