Unmarried girls queue hair into many plaits with the decorations of silver chains and beads, once getting marry, they will change the plaits to two.

People build their tents with felt cover, grass curtain and red willow wooden frame. There is a round window opened on the top of the tent for lighting, but it will be covered in winter. Herdsmen usually move their "houses" from the valley facing sun to the riverside as summer coming. A fireplace is set in the middle of the tent under the clearstory for cooking.

Two steps should be carried in a marriage including the engagement and wedding. The certain bridegroom will send two sheep to the bride's house, one is boiled and the other is toasted. In the formal wedding, the new couple will be bound at the entrance of the tent by the bride's relatives until the groom's father and brothers beg for "release" through gifts. The wedding will be ended when the couple shares a piece of cake blessed by imam.

The funeral is very grand including pattering by the imam, singing "funeral song" by relatives, carrying the dead to the graveyard by camel.

During the important festivals, people gather on the field or grassland to celebrate by singing, dancing, telling story and holding various sport programs.
