There are almost over 10,000 Russian people dwell in Sinkiang. They are colorful nation. They entertain guests with bread and salt.


The costumes are colorful and bright. A man wears long gown and long trousers, or white embroidered shirt and bloomers with aniseed hat. They have fur or cotton cloth in winter. A woman likes to dress bright colorful skirt. Her head is wrapped with a piece of handkerchief. No matter men or women like to have high upper fur shows or felt shoes. An unmarried girl combs plaits and wears earrings, while a married woman has a bob and likes to marcel. A woman must have muffler on before an elder or her family to show respect to them.

Smoking must get the allowance; it is impolite to present one, but a whole box. To be a guest, you must knock the door first and clear your feet before entering. Do not sit on the bed, and sit the seat that the host is allowed. Don't ask their private lives and remember to say thanks.

Breed is often seen in a meal. A man likes to drink beer, and every family can brew beer. They often give beer as present to friends and relatives.

A relative or a friend will get notice before a wedding ceremony, and it is an unpleasant thing not to come. The bridegroom will meet his bride with his groups. A wedding ceremony will be held according to the canon of Orthodox Church.

They believe in Orthodox Church, so Easter Sunday and Christmas Day are important festivals. Men and women have all dolled up gather in churches to celebrate and sing chant. After the ceremony, they dance happily accompanied by the accordions.
