Wula Boot

  The wula boot is made of leather and wula sedge for keeping out cold in the northeast of China. The accurate time of its beginning is not clear.  

1. In the 1960s and 1970s, wula boot was prevalent for the poor in the northeast China.

2. Cutting the grass in the marsh.

4. It took him almost 45 minutes to hammer a little bundle of grass to soft.

7. To wear wula with barefoot and tie it round shanks are necessary.
8. It's a skillful job to wrap it.
