Underground Houses near the Great Wall in Shanxi Province

  The Dahekou village is located on the border of the Ningwu and Shenchi counties in northwest Shanxi Province. The locals have built a special underground residence beneath the remaining section of the Great Wall of Ming dynasty (AD1368-1644). People and poultry live in the residence which is connected with a corridor.
