Andrzey Lisowski(Poland)

  3. Jews cover their heads as a gesture of humility. In addition to the black hat, the scull-cap ("Kippa" in Hebrew) is also popular. Occasionally, the cap can be made with different colors and designs.

  5. Israeli soldiers (military service in this country is common) also write their wishes on the wall.

  8. Between prayers, Jews kiss the stones of the Wailing Wall.

  9. All the families participate in prayer at the Wailing Wall, but with women at the southern side and men at the northern side.

  12. When praying, people read verses from the Torah, or first five books of the Old Testament. In this way, they mourn their ancestors, express their belief in Gob and in the coming of the Messiah.
