400£¬000 subsistence farmers live in small villages around the folds of the Popocatepetl Volcano, Mexico. The volcano is predicted by scientists to be one of the most dangerous in the world, but villagers, whose ancestors lived there since Aztec times, refuse to leave their homes and land.
A local farmer and his son descend the volcanic slopes after another hard days work on their cornfield. Their ancestors farmed this land for generations and they refuse to leave despite the constant danger of volcanic eruption.
Natalia Altamirano, an 85-year old villager on the volcano where she was born.
