| 1¡¢Dixi is a kind of Nuo opera, prevailed in the area of
Anshun, which is called Tiaoshen by the local people. It is regarded as
the living fossil in the history of opera. The mask of the Dixi will be sealed up in bags for keeping after the performance every year. Next year, a ceremony will be held to worship the god and open the bags. They call every person represented by the mask god. The picture shows the scene of the ceremony of worship the god after they pray for them. |
