The Mongol nationality, who lives a nomadic life of ˇ°migrating with plenty water and lush grassˇ± over hundreds of years, is an epic nomadic with a long history in northern China. Travel traces of Mongols, honoured as ˇ°the Proud Son of Grasslandˇ±, can be found in most grasslands of China. Mongols are concentrated in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as well as in northeastern and northwestern China. Stockbreeding is their traditional method of subsistence, and farming of crops such as wheat takes precedence along the river valleys.
They have faith in Tibetan Buddhism and Shamanism and speak Mongolian. During long-term practice of producing and living, the nomadic ethnic nationality has formed a unique way of life and living habit with meat and dairy as their main food, such as the traditional ˇ°hand-torn-meatˇ±, milk tea made with brick tea and fermented horse milk liquor.
The Mongols are good at singing and dancing. The Mongolian Long Tone has been enrolled in the World Intangible Culture Heritage List.
