After the Mid-autumn Day, there comes the celebration of “Clay Fight Festival” in Xiage village, which is called “Duoma Daoshen” in Dong language. “Duoma” means to grab fish and have a clay fight, and “Daoshen” means fight of bulls. It has a long history of more than 500 years. “Duoma Daoshen” expresses wishes for plenty harvest of the year and everything is superabundant every year. “Duoma” is the most special. All young men in the village plunge into the pool to enjoy the games and express their worship to the clay and deep love for the earth giving birth to and fostering the mankind.
